The Farmington Hunt Club kennels and clubhouse are located in northwestern Albemarle County near Free Union. Our territory encompasses not only the rolling hills and fields at the base of the Blue Ridge Mountains, where we have followed hounds since 1929, but also reaches into historic southern Albemarle along the Hardware and James rivers. Our country’s diverse terrain presents constant opportunity for great sport with a wide variety of riding experiences.
We always welcome new members! New members usually join as either a Social Member or a Hunting Member. We also offer Non-Resident and Associate Memberships for those who live outside the area or are already members of another hunt. For those still in school, we offer a Student Membership. Two FHC Members are required to sponsor each applicant, by writing a letter of recommendation to the Membership Chair
. Sponsors are also responsible for the introduction and education of the members they sponsor and are encouraged to ride with prospective/new members in the field, invite them to various FHC events, and introduce them to other members of the club.
Please contact the membership chair for more information if you are interested in joining!
